Vernacular Buildings as Tourism Asset in Eastern Indonesia

Indonesia has many traditional or vernacular buildings that still exist right now. Those buildings have already functioned partly as tourism asset in their areas, but so many vernacular buildings remain untouchable. Whereas, in the context of tourism, there is cultural heritage which consists of three main components: (1) monuments, (2) architecture or buildings, (3) sites. When we look at vernacular buildings in Eastern Indonesia, the possibilities those buildings to be tourism asset are high. The question should be explored is: what kind of potencies that can be explored, and in turn can be “sold” as tourism asset for vernacular buildings in the villages in Eastern Indonesia? The objective of this paper is to investigate the potencies of cultural heritage from which have possibilities to be tourism asset in several vernacular spots in Eastern Indonesia: Bayan Village (Lombok), Nua One small village in Woloara Village, Sikka and Mbengu Villages (Flores), Boti and Maslete Villages (Timor). Methods to collect data by surveying on the spot to vernacular buildings in the above locations, also surveying related and competent persons. Method to analyse the data by examining the data with tourism theories. The finding is, the potencies of vernacular buildings that can be categorized as the asset of tourism in the above villages are so many, which are architectural styles and cultural festivals in the villages, and also include the approach such as rehabilitation, renovation, restoration, and conservation

This research’s objectives are to discover the factors that affect teacher’s performance. The development of teacher’s performance is determined by many factors, and one of them is competence, which is one of the factors that will improve performance. Certification is an important variable toward teacher’s performance; accordingly, previous researches stated that certification had an impact on teacher’s performance. This research was conducted to 120 respondents at Yadika 5 High School and it adopted the method of average cell to test the hypotheses. This research observed the background framework, specifically the influence of teacher’s performance toward competencies moderated by certification. The results of this study proved that competence had an impact toward teacher’s performance and certification was found as a moderating variable.     Keywords: competence, certification, teacher performanc

Curcuma domestica is the one of materials which is used in traditional medicine. In this research Curcuma domestica solid waste was used as mixture chicken food. The aim of this research was investigated that Curcuma domestica solid waste is untoxic. The animal treatment which was used in this research was day-old chickens. The concentration of Curcuma domestica solid waste contained 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%. The research was using Complete Randomize Design with not similar replications. The results of this experiment were indicated that there were not changes on weight and hepatocyts diameter. The blood status was not change too. The conclusion of this experiment that added Curcuma domestica solid waste as mixture in the chicken food can be recommended with 10% is the maximum value

Development of Japanese Quail (Coturnix Coturnix Japonica) Embryo

This experiment was conducted to determine the development of Japanese quail embryo (Coturnix coturnix japonica), through observation and measurement of embryo organ development from the age of one day until hatching. The study used 15 female quails and 5 male quails. 15 female quails were divided into 5 cages, each cage containing 3 quails females and 1 male quail. Eggs which are inserted into an egg incubator is produced when the quail began the age of 3 months. Descriptive observation has been made towards the development of organs in the embryo. Based on the results of the study, the growth and development of quail embryo organs occur in stages until hatching occurred during the 16 days

Influence of Heat Treatment After Arc Discharge Route on Structure and Loading Capacity of SBA-15 Encapsulated By Iron Particles

For the first time, the influence of heat treatment on the structure of SBA-15 encapsulated iron particle has been investigated after arc discharge methods. Molecular sieve silica SBA-15 was prepared by self-assembly route using block copolymer P123 as soft templating agent and tetraethoxysilane as silica precursor involving acid treatment. Arc discharge route was followed by heat-treatment of SBA-15 for 4 h at 400, 700 and 900 ∘C. The change of sample structure was studied by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and nitrogen adsorption-desorption techniques, VSM and FTIR. It is found that after arc discharge step, the magnetic properties of SBA-15 encapsulated iron particle reached stable crystal at high temperature. In the other way, the massive structural change in a significant part of SBA-15 encapsulated iron particle during high temperature had an impact on the decreased surface area, total pore volume, and post size distribution. The loading capacity performance of SBA-15 encapsulated iron particle was investigated by ibuprofen molecule impregnation as a drug model. The result showed that high-temperature treatment of SBA-15 encapsulated iron particle decreased the loading capacity which was firmly related to the shrinkage of mesoporous nanopipe of SBA-15. &nbsp

This study aimed to understand the effect of dividend policy on corporate value, as wellas to examine and analyze the variation of result study on corporate value in Indonesia.Dividend Signaling Model was the grand theory used to explain the effect of dividendpolicy on corporate value. This study used meta-analysis approach with the sample were70 researches in Indonesia, both the published and unpublished in 2007-2015. The resultof this study, meta-analysis strengthens the findings of the previous study which statedthat the dividend policy could increase the corporate value. The differences of the previousstudies were due to the presence of moderation effect from the measurement model ofcorporate value and dividend corporate
